02. What kind of space does your company do? 贵公司主要做什么空间类别的设计服务？
In China, the common thought is that design companies should specialize in one or two types of design. For example, when a company specializes on hospital design, they mostly only do hospital projects, when another company specializes on residential, they mostly only do residential projects, etc.
在中国，很多设计公司/设计院都是专门做一种或两种类型的设计项目。例如，当一家公司专门做医院项目时，他们大多只做医院项目；另一家公司专门做住宅房地产项目，他们大多只做住宅房地产设计，等等。
International companies differ from this thought; we believe that DESIGN IS EVERYWHERE and good designers can design ANYTHING they can imagine and, when designing a very complex project (such as a hospital for example), international companies team up with local design companies with expertise on such projects. That way, working together as a TEAM, international companies and local companies can come up with the best possible design that responds to the client's needs and the local culture while offering a UNIQUE modern design.

Based on the above, our professional experience ranges from residential to airports, hospitals, hotels, luxury villas, offices, mixed use, industrial parks, high rise towers, museums, libraries, sporting venues, shopping malls, touristic resorts, concert halls, auditoriums, theatres, schools, urban planning, interior design, landscape design, and product design amongst others.

03. What are your company's response measures to the sudden epidemic? 面对突如其来的疫情，贵公司做出了哪些应对措施？
In order to avoid unnecessary risks, most of our employees are working from home at the moment. Picazo Architects has four offices around the world so we are used to coordinate work and work on the same job from different offices. We have managed to perfect this way of working where, no matter who or where the employee is working from, we communicate between us all in an organized and professional manner. For big jobs with very tight deadlines, Picazo Architects has set up a good system where we can work on that project at the same time from our four different offices. This way, working 24 hours round the clock, we can meet the client's deadlines while still offering our Picazo Architect's work and quality excellence.
为了避免不必要的风险，我们大多数员工目前都在家里办公。毕加索设计在全球有四个分公司，所以平时我们就需跟其他分公司同事在线上协调工作。我们也很熟练这种线上跟其他国家的同事一起云办公的模式，所以应对这种线上办公我们还是很有经验而且有组织性。有些工期比较紧张或者体量较大的项目，我们的工作模式基本是24小时运转的， 充分利用了4个分公司之间的时差，做一个项目，所以在保证按时提交成果的同时又能保证设计质量。
Based on this, most of our Chinese employees are currently working from home and each Director liaises with them on the daily basis to make sure teams are properly coordinated.

China is now going through a very unfortunate situation such as the Coronavirus epidemic. In moments like this, it is important to stay together, to be strong and to fight together to get over this epidemic. China is a great country that has proven throughout history that no matter what comes, China can always overcome any problem and come out of it even stronger.

04. According to your prediction, what kind of impact will this epidemic have on your company's projects? 根据您的预判，此次疫情对贵公司的设计项目产生什么样的影响？
China has already seen what this epidemic is already causing on the Chinese economy and stock markets. The economy has suffered considerable losses and, unfortunately, will continue to do so until we recover from this unfortunate situation. Having said this, I mentioned before that China has always recovered from any unfortunate situation and come out even stronger than before! That's one the things I love more about China; the ability to take the hit but, working together, helping each other, recover from any situation and come out stronger! China has an absolutely UNQUE capacity to recover on a record time!
现在已经可以看出这次疫情对中国经济和股票市场造成的影响了。经济是有遭到损失的，我认为在我们从这种局势中完全恢复过来之前，这种损失是会持续下去的。 话虽如此，我之前也说过，不管有什么困难，中国都可以克服，并且越挫越勇！这也是我如此热爱中国的原因之一，有能够承受重创的能力，而且可以全民共同努力，互相帮助，直至克服困难，变得更加强大！中国有绝对的能力在令人惊叹的短时间内恢复！
Regarding our company, working from home is not a problem and it's proven to be a system that works very well for us. However, the only negative aspects for our projects is the inability to travel to visit our new or projects or under construction sites, meet our clients, consultants or builders face to face or spend social time with our clients and friends. We now rely, more than ever, on video conferences, photographs and modern technology to keep in touch with those projects where we would usually travel to solve any project issues. Luckily, modern technology "makes the world small" as you could "be in 100 different places" just by using your mobile phone these days.
对我们公司而言，在家工作不是问题，而且事实证明这种办公模式对我们来说是非常有效的。只是单纯就项目来说的话，不太方便的是对于处于设计前期的项目来说，因为疫情管控严格，客户无法开展工作，我们的设计工作也无法进行；或者对于正在施工的项目来说，也不能去项目现场与甲方面沟通项目等。近期我们就更依赖于各种视频、语音会议，来帮助我们解决以往要出差去项目现场解决的技术问题。幸运的是现代科学通讯技术如此发达，使得世界都变小了，我们可以通过手机看全世界。
05. How do design companies/designers do by working online with your team? What kind of solutions will be adopted to meet the challenges brought by the epidemic?设计企业/设计师如何做好远程团队协作，将以怎样的方案来应对疫情带来的挑战？
I totally believe this Coronavirus situation will make us all stronger. There is a say in the Western world: "every crisis is an opportunity for success". This means that, no matter how negative we think the situation is, we need to stay strong, stand up and look ahead.
我完全相信这次新冠肺炎疫情可以使我们所有人变得更强大。 西方有一种说法：“每次的危机都是成功的机会”。 这意味着，无论我们面临的局势有多负面，我们都必须保持坚强和乐观，向前看。
Picazo Architects takes SAFEY very seriously, now more than ever! We need to guarantee that our employees are safe to work, providing them with the best possible environment for them to do their job. We make sure we follow the Government instructions step by step, day by day. Information is power, so we continuously read the news to stay informed on what to do.
毕加索设计非常重视安全问题，目前的疫情期更加重视！我们需要确保员工工作的安全性，为他们提供最佳的工作环境。我们每天都在追踪着关于这次疫情的各种政府信息，信息就是力量，所以我们通过不断阅读新闻以随时了解要做的事情。
For those employees who do come to the office, we have changed the office start time from 9:00 am to 10:30 am and leaving time from 6:00 pm to 7:30pm. This will help to facilitate moving in public transport, reducing the risks to be around too many people at rush hours.
对于必须要来公司办公的员工，我们将上班的开始时间从上午9:00更改为上午10:00，将下班时间从下午6:00更改为晚上7:00。 这种错峰通勤的手段，可以相对降低一定的风险性。
Also, we make sure all our employees wear masks at all times, their temperature is checked three times a day, wash their hands regularly and bring food from their own home to, once again, avoid congestion at our office canteen.

We have absolute confidence that China will recover from this very soon and the economy, now affected, will go back to be as strong as usual in no time at all! Together, we can achieve ANYTHING we wish for! China is and has always been very strong!
