Vertex of Taijiang: An office space inspired by water ripple
Located on the outskirts of Tainan City, this project was an office space for an agriculture firm specializing in imported fruit trading. As a company having a global perspective while committed to local services, we combined the sensory experience with the landscape to emphasize the two-way relationship of domestic marketing and international trading, also endured this spatial the sense of fresh yet rich texturing.
The glass brick facade at the porch served as an excellent intermediate of the internal and external room. The shimmering effect was created while the light behind penetrates, such imagery implicated the characteristic of the firm devoting for the local industry, and further echoed the name of the building itself—Estuary.
Panoramic horizon: A boundless field surrounding the core structure.
Outside the office, fish farms along the Taijiang Wetland reflect the sunshine down to the endless north, became a gorgeous scenery. To utilize this unique condition, we set the open-office surrounding the core structure of functional areas such as the storage room, printing room, and restrooms, preserving the unobstructed view.
Periphery the core structure, we formed an intermediate zone with display purpose by a hexagonal-brick-built wall. Meanwhile, the office and reception areas are connected, through the use of a large amount of glass, iron, and other material, each space can retain its independent functionality while ensuring the transparency and bright atmosphere of the overall spatial.
Nomadic field: The cooling thinking of west facing space
The ceiling and floor with dark wood tones are combined with the gray and white objects scattered around, creating a scattering yet floating frame system. With these brand-new functionalities and using modes, users are allowed to gain more vitality in a natural, bright, and flowing environment.
To blend the fascinating view into the office, we designed a corridor on the west side and decorated with leisure furniture, endowing this space multi-functional and digital-nomads-allowed experience. While creating a dynamic traffic flow, it could also be a cooling solution for the high-temperature caused by sunshine exposure. This corridor had greatly preserved the best scenery for all staff, became a room for respite, and responding to the spirit of enterprise—opening and sharing.
