Slamp has always been known for its carefully-crafted products and innovative use of forms and materials. At Euroluce 2023, the company will be presenting new ideas and extensions to some of its signature lines, as part of an original concept that opens a new chapter in the brand's vision: Entangled Light.

The new products and exhibition layout underline the attention to a project that puts the relationship between lighting and people at its heart. 

The concept of Entangled Light derives from the phenomenon of “entanglement”, a quantum mechanics term, coined by the Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935 to describe a link between particles, a correlation capable of manifesting - after a separation -even at enormous distances. 

As science teaches us: everything is energy. An object not only emits its own frequencies but is also affected by those emitted by other bodies, near and distant. These interactions, by transcending space and time, give rise to an interconnected system of frequencies in which each being is correlated with another to create a single dense mesh of energy. 

“When we decide to spend time with a person or choose a certain object, we are applying a principle of ‘entanglement’, of vibrational intertwining, and this influences our path over time,” explains Luca Mazza, CEO of Slamp. “A lamp, in particular, is not a passive object. It's an object we relate to. The light source interacts with us, with objects in space and with space itself, even changing our perception of it. Lights and shadows, shapes and colours - they all generate ‘vibrations’ with the capacity to create states of joy, peace and wellbeing ".

The new lighting projects were designed by Zaha Hadid Design, Elisa Giovannoni and Adriano Rachele. Together with a series of new additions to the existing lines, created by Marc Sadler, Lorenza Bozzoli, Miguel Arruda and Bruno Rainaldi, they are writing new chapters in a story in which the heroes are the energetic power of objects and the indissoluble bond we form with them.   The collections are the result of an artisanal yet high-tech process, which ties together the harmony of form with the technique of lighting. The versatility of technopolymers - a hallmark of Slamp products - has been taken to the next level, with complex forms that despite their power and impact, still retain an apparently impossible lightness.   The new products are an expression of Slamp's proximity to the contract market as well as the brand's capacity to deliver  bespoke projects that call for exclusivity and custom design.

THE STAND Slamp's evocative and multifaceted offer is fully expressed in its space at Euroluce, featuring the mathematical symbol for infinity (∞) and creating an ideal path for visitors to discover the brand, its collections and its evolution. A scheme of soft colours, also found in the brand's catalogue, envelops the entire space, interacting vibrantly with the light to create a unique set up that physically represents the Entangled Light concept.

The stand will also be a stage for a brand-new LIVE SHOW, where these tailors of light' will unveil the details of a process that combines technology with Italian production. Through the performance, which sees the Slamp creatives making their trade show debut, the brand is underlining the indissoluble bond between tradition and innovation.

SLAMP MILANO DUOMO  From 18-21 April, the action continues after Euroluce with a natural continuation at the Slamp Milano Duomo showroom. "Entangled Nights" is a series of invitation events intended to offer visitors a new synaesthetic experience of Entangled Light, designed to engage all five senses.   Inside a renovated space with a new exhibition layout, 432Hz frequencies together with colours, flavours and selected rays allow you to recentre the body and discover the link between light and the human being. A distinctive element of Entangled Nights is the special yellow bracelet, symbolising an invisible thread of light capable of creating infinite connections.

Slamp celebrates its tenth anniversary collaborating with Zaha Hadid (1950-2016) with the release of the luminous, dynamic Aria Infinita. The architectural suspension features Aria and Avia’s original structural layers, harmoniously winding in sinuous wavesthroughout any area, at its highest points, reaching a dizzying two meters, available in both white or gold shades. The layers are handcrafted and hand-assembled, tailored around a Lentiflex® source that casts an ever-evolving glow, altering the view from varying angles. Bold yet slender shapes defy the concept of traditional illumination, breathing poetic airinto a dramatic modular system that infinitely expands throughout private areas and larger scale installations within contract spaces.

Elisa Giovannoni designed Slamp’s Modula with surprising, unique refractions in mind. The versatile, elegant collection in Lentiflex® is intentionally minimalistic: even, fluid illumination energetically flows throughout. Modula is available in two textures. The Plissè version linearly undulates much like Medieval columns, and Crystal is a sparkling entanglement of reflections. Two versions, a single or dual suspension and a linear or twisted floor model, bring a personalized touch to any space. The twisted model features an angular take that amplifies the lamp’s dynamic effect.

Marc Sadler’s airy and romantic Tulip installations have become a mainstay in Slamp’s repertoire. The unique rechargeable table version moves with you, easily enchanting any space, no wires to worry about. A fantastical, hand-molded Lentiflex© bloom perched on a steel stem encloses a warm LED source, bending slightly as if in bloom, swaying in a spring breeze, in constant dialogue with surrounding spaces.

LA LOLLO LINEAR DESIGN BY LORENZA BOZZOLI

Lorenza Bozzoli’s La Lollo collection sees a new addition with a linear suspension that gives a throw back to the divas and glam of the fifties. La Lollo Linear is a cascade of weightless, unbreakable technopolymer cylinders encircling a LED source. Prismatic and metallic textures mesh in a contemporary, almost textile effect.

NUVEM MOTION DESIGN BY MIGUEL ARRUDA

SLAMP: Miguel Arruda设计的Nuvem Motion

Miguel Arruda’s Nuvem has its origins in one of his sculptures completed in 1980. His creation for Slamp takes a dynamic turn with Nuvem Motion, an endless floating cloud that not only illuminates a space, but moves within it. The modular system, available in both white and velvet, adapts to any space or event, literally shaping itself thanks to a motorized system and application. The hexagonal Opalflex® modules are illuminated by bi-directional spots that enhance an already intense energetic flow.

Potent illumination is enclosed within “chains” of Cristalflex® that constantly shift and sway. Dramatic, voluminous, harmonious, and yet almost weightless, Le Grand Ceremonyfits effortlessly with large spaces and projects begging for a luxurious centerpiece.
