The latest restaurant design endeavour of Steve Leung Hospitality Ltd. (SLH), a brand of Steve Leung Design Group, is set in the prime location of Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. As hinted by its name — Akanoshou 赤の匠, which literally means “Master of Red” in Japanese, the restaurant roots its design inspiration from Japanese teppanyaki (鉄板焼き) cooking style and the flaming heat that comes with this delectable grilled cuisine. An overall palette of dark metal grey, brown and hints of red, accentuated with powerful calligraphic brushstrokes of blazing fire designed by the award-winning Ruth Chao Studio, which resonates with the dancing flame on the teppan grill, unfolding a contemporary Japanese setting exuding a bold and energetic flair.
NEW PROJECT II SHIKIGIKU JAPANESE RESTAURANT (IFC MALL) — CAFÉ & BAR AREA, HONG KONG 最新作品 II | 香港 四季菊日本餐厅 (国际金融中心商场) — 咖啡室及酒吧区
Located at IFC Mall in the buzzing neighbourhood of Central, Hong Kong, the brand-new café and bar area of Shikigiku Japanese Restaurant draws inspiration from Furoshiki — traditional Japanese wrapping cloths often used to wrap or transport goods, embracing a wide array of multiple patterns. The refined and highly versatile space reimagines ancient Japanese customs through a contemporary flair. At day time, freshly baked pastries are ready to be savoured; at night-time, the cozy coffee shop can be turned into a seductive bar, allowing guests to embark on striking contrasting dining experiences.
