实践可能 我们希望它不仅仅是一个可以无限拓展的“建筑”，也是一次对“公共性”话题进行的实践。 它也承载着本木多年来对待产品严谨的专业态度，敢于不断尝试新技术、新趋势的勇气和决心。 “咫尺有心意，方寸现空间”。 以有限的尺度，创造无限的空间可能；以真挚的心意，为用户带来前所未有的体验。
功能营造 建构一个小茶室的想法应运而生，从二维平面到三维空间的无限延展，可供人短暂停留与休憩。它除了能够满足茶空间内各式物件的展陈及使用需求，形态上也更加灵活多变；可根据不同需求重新组装成柜、几、坐具、屏风等各类陈设，便于日后延展融入各类场景。 我们将原木的温润与金属的冷硬相融合，再镶嵌上专门研发的照明系统，使整个产品在保证实用性的基础上不失艺术美感，在不同的功能需求下都能做到变换自如。
致敬传统 十寸为一尺，十尺为一丈。 度量衡的发展大约始于原始社会末期。传说黄帝“设五量”，“少昊同度量，调律吕”。度量衡单位最初都与人体相关：“布手知尺，布指知寸”、“一手之盛谓之溢,两手谓之掬”。这样表达长度的市制单位，在今天已鲜有人作为日常应用。 如何让古老的东方智慧更好的融入当代语汇，成为我们希望探讨与尝试的初心。 以“一尺”（33.3cm）见方，作为基本单元，打开了一个充满无限可能的新世界。
基于目的 本木作为成都本土传统木作定制品牌，历经三十余载，始终如一地专注于原木定制生产。从最初的默默耕耘，到如今，已发展成为拥有全木作产品线的运营企业，本木其对品质的坚守和对用户的尊重从未改变。 而“尺”装置的诞生，则是源于JUMGO浆果创意创始人何靓与本木主理人一次偶然的交流。谈及到她现有展厅外的一块闲置空地，期望打造出一个可供人体验、且独具趣味性的装置，以达到橱窗效应的目的。
