这世上让人觉得美好。心生欢喜的事物，从来都是无用的。丰子恺写道：“这世上真正漂亮的，恰是那些无用之美。”庄子《人世间》中又说：“无用之用，方为大用”。可见无用之美，却可以抚慰心灵，此心安处是吾乡........
原始结构南北空间比例失调，过长的走廊空间造成了空间的浪费。也无法满足四代同堂的使用需求，于是将动线移至户型中轴线。以平衡空间比例，最大化扩展空间，并巧妙穿插增加空间功能性。并将卧室空间适度缩小扩大外部阳台空间增加了书房功能区。尊重四代同堂居住者生活起居方式多元化，尊重个人空间的同时，公共空间更加包容互动，利于家人情感交流。
